“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together” – Psalm 34:1-3
We all have different temperaments when it comes to praising God. Some people are radical for Christ and can do all the shouting while some are so quiet. When the Holy Spirit starts his work in the life of the radical; you will see reactions, shouts and different dimensions of praise. When you are in the presence of God, He deserves all the praise you can offer.
The shout of praise is a spiritual weapon. The Psalmist said “I will bless the Lord at all times…”. Irrespective of the situation around you, your reaction to praising God must not waiver. You don’t need to have the gift of gratitude before you can give thanks to God. You must have the willingness to do it. Giving God thanks should be a part of you. Where there is no will, there is no action; where there is a will, there will be a way. In whatever you are going through, you should be able to praise God. If you are effective and wiling enough to praise God, you will not be problem-minded. Even when problem arises, opportunities will be what you will see. While others are busy capitalizing on their problems, you will be busy praising God for the opportunities in the problems.
“Feed your opportunities and starve your problem” – Stephen covey
Every battle is an opportunity for victory and every problem is an opportunity for Divine Intervention.
Your mind is the seat of your will-power. Your decision to move forward is from your mind. If you have a problem with the way you Think, you will have problem with the way you Thank. When you don’t think correctly, you will find offense in whatever people think about you or do to you. When you give thanks to God for the little He has done for you, you will get a lot. Many complainers and murmurers are missing a lot. Only thankful people live life to the fullest. Being thankful is the best way to express hopefulness.
So many people praise a lot of things; some praise the devil, some glorify the position they occupy or the miracle God did for them instead of the God who gave them the miracle. Many of us get blessed but don’t get to the level where God is totally committed to doing anything for us.
Many cannot make any sacrifice for God who gave them all they want. Few people can offer the most precious gift to God like Abraham did with Isaac. Abraham impressed God to a point that he became the friend of God.
When God sees how you praise Him in the midst of your troubles, He will be provoked to bless you with so much that people who have been against you will come and bow at your feet.
Many people prefer to worship the gift above the Giver of the gift. If you don’t worship the Giver, how will you get more of His gifts? It is good to be focused on God at all times and praise Him for all He has done so that He can do more. When God blesses you to a point that you feel you can’t praise Him again, He will withdraw His blessings from you.
Everything you do with an attitude of gratitude is a way of expressing your praise to God. Gratitude and Ingratitude are choices we make per time. Even when things are not going as expected, when things are changing around you, your choice to be grateful is what matters more to God. You have a lot to do in order to appreciate God. Give God the deserved praise at all times.
As you engage in fearful praise to God, He will give you a change of story. Wherever you have experienced rejection, you will be accepted and bigger doors will be opened to you in Jesus Name.
